Strawberry Cream Swiss Roll

Strawberry Cream Swiss Roll
(adapted from Ochikeron)
Ingredients:
2 eggs
50g sugar
35g cake flour
20g milk

Whipped cream:
150ml heavy whipping cream
40g sugar

Chopped strawberries

Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line parchment paper on brownie pan.
2. Beat eggs and sugar in high speed till pale and fluffy.
3. Fold in flour and milk. Mix well.
4. Pour into pan, and drop the pan few times to release air bubbles. Bake for 15 minutes.
5. Cool in pan then cool on wire rack.
6. Prepare the whipped cream while waiting the cake to cool. Beat the whipping cream and sugar on high speed till form stiff peaks. Cut the strawberries to small sizes.
7. Roll the cake out of the pan. Spread whipped cream frosting on top of the cake, and sprinkle chopped strawberries. Roll the cake and place in fridge for at least 30 minutes to set.
8. Decorate or cut to enjoy.

I forgot to sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of the cake. It will be prettier that way, in my opinion. Lol.. Yummy swiss roll, and refreshing! Very nice! My sis likes it alot! =P

4-Layer Fresh Strawberry Cake

This is a cake I made for my friend's farewell. I have always wanted to try this strawberry cake. I love the freshness and tartness of strawberries, and this really makes me instantly love it! I make a basic sponge cake, and prepare 1 big boxes of fresh strawberries, and homemade fresh whipped cream. Easy ingredients that can be able to create a very delicious cake. I forgot to take the picture of the cut cake. >.< Bear with my frosting skills. It was very long time ago..LOL.. I made 4 layers and strawberry cake is always very refreshing, it is not that heavy like chocolate cake. You can easily eat up to 2-3 slices of cake.

Enjoy! =)

Gourmet Chocolate Strawberry 4-Layer Cake

I made this cake for a friend's birthday. It consists of 4 very moist chocolate cake layers. I cut it out evenly in size, and apply strawberry buttercream and chocolate buttercream in between layers alternately. I frost the cake with chocolate frostings on the outer layer of the cake. Then, I decorate it with many fresh strawberries(as you can see here..>.<..). I toasted some almond flakes and sprinkle on top of the cake. I also made some chocolate pieces using melted semi-sweet chocolate, and put in the fridge for 5 minutes till harden. The chocolate has to be used quickly if you are making it during summer. It melts very quickly. Then, to finish the cake, I sprinkle powdered sugar on top make a contrast between dark and white colors.

While putting the strawberries on top, handle with care, because the strawberries will excrete water out if you wash in water and soak it in water. Just gently wash and wipe dry the strawberries before putting on top of the cake.

Enjoy!
