Korean-style Slow-cooked Black Beans
Korean-style Slow-cooked Black Beans
Ingredients:
2 cups black beans
6 cups water
3 tbsp toasted white sesame seeds
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup sugar
2 tbsp sesame oil
Steps:
1. Clean the black beans and soak in water for 1 hour.
2. Pour the black beans and water into a pot until it boiled. Then, turn to low heat and continue to boil for 1 hour.
3. Add soy sauce and sugar for another 30 minutes under low heat.
4. Stir it constantly to prevent the black beans from sticking.
5. Then, add the sesame oil and stir until well mixed.
6. Sprinkle white sesame seeds, and enjoy!
A perfect combination of sweet and savory! It's very suitable to eat with rice, a little bit of it is more than enough because it has all the flavor for a meal.
